coq-theories software package provides proof assistant for higher-order logic (theories), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install coq-theories
coq-theories is installed in your system.
Make ensure the coq-theories package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep coq-theories *
You will get with coq-theories package name, version, architecture and description in a table
